DNC - Do-Not-Call Coding
DNC flags individuals who have requested not to receive unsolicited telemarketing calls at home. Matching is against the federal DNC list maintained by the FTC and/or the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) and state-regulated lists.
For federal DNC, the list owner must be registered with the FTC and have a valid Subscription Account Number and Authorization Code. We must also know if the list owner is authorized for the national list or which specific Area Codes.
For DMA and state DNC, the list owner is required to provide an affidavit of compliance.
