Radius Processing service matches your data against a multi-tiered geo database drawn from the U.S. Census Bureau TIGER/Line Files. It covers all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, and can provide location coordinates often with a precision within a few meters.

The process first determines latitude and longitude coordinates for the records in your lists, usually matching on the exact street address and not the the less precise ZIP+4. Then distances to a given location are calculated using precise industry-standard trigonometry formulas and applied to your data. Finally radius flags are appended to all records within a pre-determined distance.
